BGS Energy Services has completed its pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for the “U-3000 Project” at the Alexandria Petroleum Company (APC) refinery, now operating at its optimal production rate of around 100,000 barrels per day (bbl/d); saving $85 million annually.
BGS began the U-3000 Project in July of this year and concluded the works by mid-September. Mohamed Rabea, MENA Engineering Manager at BGS, stated that “we have done our job right, as well as all other participant parties, combining and transforming expertise, commitment, diligence, and sheer efforts into this stark triumph.”
The Egyptian Projects Operation and Maintenance’s (EPROM) Project Manager praised BGS for its work on the project, saying that “we are thrilled with BGS Energy Services outstanding performance, professionalism, and dedication. The results speak for themselves for this astounding achievement, in spite of the critical and complex project nature, not mentioning the time constraints to the project schedule.”
