Badawi Visits UAE to Boost Energy Relations, Strengthen Ties

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi visited the Emirate of Fujairah, accompanied by Accountant Nasser Shoman, the Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Transport and Distribution of Petroleum Products.

Badawi was received by Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi the Ruler of Fujairah and Member of the Supreme Council of the UAE.

The visit focused on continuing the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in August 2024 for the supply of petroleum products and enhancing partnerships with global suppliers.

The meeting also discussed leveraging the Fujairah Petroleum System and applying it at the AlHamra Port on the Mediterranean Sea, with the aim of establishing a petroleum logistics zone. This would capitalize on Egypt’s location and infrastructure, supporting Egypt’s position as a Regional Energy Hub.
