Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi held a periodic meeting with members of the House of Representatives to address the needs of their constituencies.
During the meeting, Badawi presented the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ (MoPMR) current strategy, outlining its main pillars, achievements, and future goals.
The discussion also covered ongoing projects to deliver natural gas to homes in various cities and villages across governorates. Badawi emphasized his directive to the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) to promptly assess all requests and take necessary steps to expand natural gas connections.
Additionally, the meeting highlighted MoPMR’s community initiatives, which focus on supporting health and education, assisting priority-care families, and developing rural villages. Representatives commended the petroleum sector’s efforts in these areas, and the Minister stressed the importance of effective coordination between the MoPMR’s Social Responsibility Committee and Parliament members to incorporate citizens’ priorities into the sector’s initiatives and community projects.
Furthermore, Badawi directed the ministry to review and address requests submitted by representatives that reflect citizens’ needs, ensuring swift action and ongoing communication with the representatives.
