Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, has announced a new round of appointments for several operations managers across the petroleum sector. This reshuffle is designed to capitalize on outstanding expertise while introducing fresh leadership, ensuring the continued enhancement of performance and the achievement of sector goals.
Mohamed Ibrahim El Helaly was appointed General Manager of Operations and Board Member at PetroGulf Company. El Helaly began his professional career as an engineer at Petrojet and progressed through various positions within the sector until he became Assistant General Manager for Processing and Storage at the company in 2013. After that, he assumed the position of Deputy General Manager of Fields in 2022.
Amr Mohamed Atef Abdelwahab Haggag became the General Manager for Operations and a Board Member at Disouq Petroleum Company (DISOUCO). He began his career in the petroleum sector at Rashid Petroleum Company (Rashpetco), progressed through several positions, became Assistant General Manager for Production Facilities in 2016, and later assumed the role of General Manager for Planning and Production Follow-up in 2022.
Mohamed Tarek Mohamed, was assigned the title of General Manager for Operations and a Board Member at Suez Oil Company (SUCO). He started his professional career at Badr El-Din Petroleum Company (BAPETCO) in 2003, advanced through various roles, became Assistant General Manager for Gas Measurement, Sales, and Condensates in 2017, and subsequently took on the position of General Manager for Production at the company in 2019.
Khaled Abdel Aleem Ali, was appointed Assistant Chairman for Operations and Member of the Board of Directors at Petrosannan Company. Ali started his career at Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel) and rose through the ranks to become assistant General Manager of onshore Production at the company in 2018, after which he assumed the position of General Manager of Sinai Fields Operations in 2021.
Gomaa Eliewa Awad was assigned the title of General Manager of Central Operations and Member of the Board of Directors at the Petroleum Gas Company (Petrogas) . Since he joined the company in 1991 he progressed through various positions until he became General Manager of the Mostorod District at the company in 2022.
El-Sayed Ahmed Ali Ragab was appointed as Deputy General Manager of Operations and Board Member at El Hamra Oil Company. Ragab’s career path started in 1997 at Qarun Petroleum Company (QPC) in 1997.He progressed through various positions until he was appointed Assistant General Manager for Mechanical Maintenance at El Hamra Oil in 2021 to be promoted five years later as Fields and Wells Manager at the company.
Sherif Mohamed Kotb was assigned the title of General Manager of Operations and Board Member at Petro Amir Company. He began his career in the petroleum sector as an engineer at Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (GUPCO) in 2006 and moved to Petro Amir as an Assistant General Manager for Operations Projects Engineering in 2019.
