Badawi Meets with US Ambassador to Strengthen Bilateral Energy Relations

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi met with the US Ambassador to Egypt Herro Mustafa Garg and her accompanying delegation, where the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation through US oil companies operating in Egypt in various oil and gas activities, energy efficiency projects, and emission reduction.

During the meeting, Badawi explained that the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR) is adopting a strategy of integrated work with all entities to achieve the interests of all parties, expressing his appreciation to US companies operating in Egypt for their spirit of cooperation and commitment to investing in the Egyptian petroleum sector. 

He also thanked the CEO of Apache Corporation for attending the EGYPES 2025, during which he delivered an important speech praising the successful partnership with the Egyptian petroleum sector. 

Badawi added that the petroleum sector enjoys attractive investment opportunities to increase cooperation with US companies in various oil and gas activities, energy efficiency, and emission reduction.

For her part, Mustafa praised the success of EGYPES 2025, and explained that there is a strong and positive return for the American companies that participated in the conference.
