AWE Limited reported that the second drill-stem test (DST) on Al Meashar-1, covering the basement section over the interval 3,180 to 3,660 meters, was completed.

Flow rates averaged approximately 600 barrels of oil and mud per day and periodically tested higher. The well did not fully clean up during this test, but did confirm oil production from the basement section at relatively stable rates.

Preparations for the final DST over a 25 meter sandstone interval within the Meem Formation are currently underway, with testing of this interval expected in the near future.
