Apex International Energy President & CEO Thomas Maher has stated that the company plans to pump more investments to implement its expanding program during the coming period in Egypt, noting that it has drilled 13 wells so far in its concession area in the Western Desert.
Maher said that during his meeting with the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi where they discussed the company’s activities and its plan during the next time in Egypt.
During the meeting, Badawi stressed that the utmost priority for the petroleum sector is to increase production, provide the needs of the local market, and reduce the import bill.
He added that cooperative teamwork and integration is the key to achieving successes for all parties, and that exploiting advanced technologies plays an important role in increasing production and reserves, indicating that the American company provides a distinguished model in increasing production rates, especially from brownfields in recent years.
Apex’ operations are based in the Western Desert region in the areas southeast of Meliha, Ras Qattara, East of El Obeid, southwest of Meliha, and east of Siwa.
