AnTech Opens New Middle East Facility in Saudi

AnTech, a directional coiled tubing drilling (DCTD) provider, has launched its Saudi Arabian presence with the opening of a new office in Al Khobar.

An integral part of the company’s global growth strategy, AnTech’s new Middle East facility is the result of significant investment from Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures (SAEV) and Calculus Capital, said a statement.

AnTech is one of only three BHA providers to be offering a DCTD service in the region, and is an aspirational trail for companies of a similar size by entering this marketplace as an SME and competing against two of the world’s largest oilfield services companies, it said.

The firm’s is the first standalone DCTD workshop in Saudi Arabia and brings a unique, focused service approach.

Hosted by AnTech managing director, Toni Miszewski, together with the company’s Saudi-based agent, Anas Al-Shuwayer, the managing director of Anas Al-Shuwayer Contracting (ASCE), the event saw attendance from some of the region’s key industry personnel.

“This launch heralds another exciting period of growth for AnTech. The Middle East is a critical target market for our business, where many of our clients already operate, and the backing of SAEV and Calculus Capital has provided us with the wherewithal to bring our tools, services and skills to the area. We can now truly demonstrate AnTech’s specialist DCTD services, which we believe will provide significant benefits to the region,” said Miszewski.

“Directional coiled tubing drilling services are in great use in Saudi Arabia, and we believe that AnTech’s products will allow DCTD methods to be applied to a wider variety of applications, with lower costs and improved outcomes,” according to SAEV management.
