The Chairman of Amreya Petroleum Company Hossam Shawky has stated that his company has provided the market with 3.2 million tons of petroleum products during the fiscal year (FY) 2022/23 including diesel, mazut, octane, butane, kerosene, as well as basic and special oils and wax.
He said that during the general assembly of the company chaired by the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla to approve their annual operational results, which took place in the presence of other national petroleum companies.
Shawky showcased the technical procedures and successful projects carried out by the company, which resulted in rationalizing some of the energy consumption, reducing emissions and achieving savings in the water as part of petroleum sector’s modernization program.
Additionally, he added that the company succeeded in declining the spending by 20% compared to FY 2021/22 as a result of raising efficiency and improving operation. The chairman also reviewed the achievements progressed in applying various digital transformation systems including resource and asset management systems (ERP), linear programming in refineries, digital control and measurement systems in RTG tanks, and laboratory management.
Moreover, the company’s development plan projects were reviewed, which included pumping investments worth about EGP 480 million to complete the implementation of a number of ambitious projects. The company also has implemented various activities in the field of social responsibility as well as educational fields and preserving the environment.
For his part, El Molla praised the company’s production and its achievements in rationalizing energy consumption and its efficiency in addition to improving its productivity.
