The contract award affirms Aker Solutions’ position as the world’s leading provider of MEG reclamation technology, which removes the possibility of blockages in subsea pipelines, by preventing ice and hydrate formation.
“This contract shows that Aker Solutions has gained significant trust in the MEG reclamation market and the new contract gives us the opportunity to work with yet another important client, which is Noble Energy,” says Børrre Sveen, president of Aker Solutions’ process systems business in Norway.
“Aker Solutions is currently experiencing an increasing demand for MEG reclamation units, and is well positioned to meet market requirements,” says Mr Sveen.
The MEG unit will be used at Noble Energy’s Tamar project in the Mediterranean Sea, and the estimated delivery time is Q2 2011.
Aker Solutions’ contract party is Aker Process Systems AS.
