Fleming Gulf Conferences, a leading business-to-business (B2B) event organisers, will arrange the Big Data Energy Innovation Summit to highlight the various opportunities in big data for the energy and utilities sectors, in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The event will take place on May 19 and 20.
The event will convene professionals associated with data management, cloud, IoT and business intelligence to discuss best practices and explore new technologies to extract optimum value from data, said a statement.
The conference, accompanied by a workshop will provide solid facts, information and enlightening discussions to help oil, gas and utilities companies select and implement best data practices to improve productivity, energy efficiency and customer engagement, it added.
Big Data management has the potential to revolutionise the energy industry at every step of its value chain. From data collected by sensors during exploration and drilling, a company can gauge the quality, quantity of produce. Similarly, companies are leveraging big data to optimise production, predict and avoid equipment breakdowns, maintain safety, monitor consumption patterns and optimise the supply chain.

The summit will also include an engagement round table, where attendees split into two teams will present five challenges each and present probable solutions to the other team’s challenges. Day 2 of the summit will be dedicated to workshops on “Data Analytics and the use of Intelligent Agents” and “Big Data Security and Privacy”, it added.
