IOCs Share their Know-how during Al Ahram’s Energy Conference

Al Ahram’s Energy Conference shed light on the role of international petroleum and electric companies in Egypt, according to Al Ahram gate.

The Chairman of Board of Directors of the Petroleum Mining Chamber in the Egyptian Industries Federation, Tamer Abubakr, confirmed the importance of the national and international companies’ role in the energy sector in Egypt to achieve sustainable development.

In the same sequence, Government and External Relations Manager and Deputy Country Chair for Shell Egypt, Moataz Darwish,  praised his company’s strategy in Egypt, which is based upon refocusing on the deep water in the framework of the general strategy of the international company.

The Managing Director of Egypt and East Mediterranean at Schlumberger, Karim Badawi, said that his company has human resources working on facilitating the services of the petroleum company in the oil and gas sector in fast and safe ways, in addition to utilizing the latest technologies.

He announced the signature of seismic survey agreement in Suez Gulf, confirming that his company is proud of creating an electronic gate for the petroleum ministry to let information be available.

Additionally, Badawi said that he is proud of contributing in updating and developing the petroleum sector through human resources, offering several programs in this regard in addition to training sessions for the students in the company.

Badwai ended his speech by saying that the petroleum sector in Egypt proved that it is able to execute high qualified projects such as Zohr field and fastening the rate of the explorations. adding that the digital transformation is the most important element Schlumberger has.
