President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has requested an environmental report, from the Red Sea regulatory authorities, on the oil spill that caused an environmental crisis in the seas of northeastern Hurghada.

An oil spill off the Egyptian Red Sea coast of Hurghada threatening to damage marine life in the area has prompted environmental agencies to demand tighter regulation of offshore oil platforms.
