India to Continue Purchasing Russian Oil Regardless Trump’s Warnings

Two sources from the Indian government stated that the country will continue to buy oil from Russia despite U.S President Donald Trump's warnings to impose more penalties, Reuters reported.
The sources confirmed that there is no change in the country's plans for oil purchases, attributing this to the long-term contracts it has signed. They also noted that India receives the oil at lower prices than those determined by the European Union (EU). They also elaborated that this helps keep oil prices without increases.

Turkey Provides Syria with Azerbaijani gas Starting August 2

Turkey's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar announced that the country will start to transport natural gas from Azerbaijan to Aleppo in Syria to boost electricity grid in the latter. The minister explained that the natural gas will be exported via Kilis to Syria with Qatar financial assistant.in as cooperation with Qatar in the operation. He noted that the daily supply will allow enlightening Northern Syria from 3-4 hours to 10 hours per day.

SLB Introduces New Innovation Enabling More Operation Efficiency

SLB, the global energy technology company, launched the new technology "OnWave" which is an autonomous logging platform which enables operation efficiency through providing more efficient and reliable evaluation measurements of a well's formation at any condition. The technology 'is the first of its kind' and works without a wireline unit or a wireline cable, which are normally needed to lower tools into wells for data collection, maintenance, and intervention during oil and gas operations. 

Baker Hughes in Negotiation to Acquire Chart Industries in $13.6bn Deal

Baker Hughes, the global oil and gas innovations supplier, is about to acquire Chart Industries, a U.S-based industrial manufacturing company working in gas-handling systems, through a deal worth $13.6 billion, Reuters reported. Sources said the transaction is expected to be announced in the coming days, though they noted that the agreement is not yet final.

Saudi Arabia, Syria Boost Energy Cooperation through New MoU

Abdulaziz bin Salman, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Energy, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mohammad Al-Bashir, Syria's Minister of Energy, to expand energy cooperation between the two countries. The MoU covers the fields of petroleum, gas, petrochemicals, electricity, power interconnection, and renewable energy.

Qatar Warns EU to Cut LNG Supplies for Labour and Environmental Harm Issues

Qatar has sent a letter to the Belgian government, warning that it may halt gas exports to the European Union (EU) in response to EU’s issuing of bloc's due diligence directive law on forced labour and environmental harm. In the letter, Qatari Energy Minister Saad al-Kaabi stated that if changes are not made to the EU's corporate sustainability due diligence directive (CSDDD), they will find other stable markets for their products. 

TotalEnergies Hydrocarbon Production Increases 1% H1 2025

TotalEnergies' hydrocarbon production increased by 1% to 1,966 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) during the first half (H1) of 2025 compared to 1,956 boe/d in H1 2024. The company's liquid production in H1 2025 amounted to 1,440 barrels per day (bbl/d), while gas production reached 2,807 million cubic feet per day (mmcf/d). Totalenergies adjusted net income amounted to $18.3 billion in 2024 and the CFFO reached $29.9 billion. The company operates in over 130 countries, with major projects in Africa, the Middle East, the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. It is a key player in the global LNG market and is expanding its solar, wind, and battery storage assets globally.

Eni’s Production Up 1.3% Sequentially in Q2 2025, Expecting Growth in 2025

Eni's production went down by 2.6% in Q2 2025 compared to Q2 2024; however, it increased by 1.3% sequentially, confirming the positive outlook for the year.
According to the company's results, it achieved net profit of $1.13 billion with a group tax rate of 46.6%. The performance is supported by several internal improvement initiatives, including cost savings, increased volumes, and a more favorable product or service mix.
