Egypt Assumes IGU Vice presidential Role, Ahead of 2028 Chairmanship

Egypt became the first African and Arab country to lead the International Gas Union (IGU) in a six-year period after a majority of the IGU’s  94 members voted in favor ot its becoming the union’s vice president (2025–2028) followed by the Presidency (2028–2031).

Norpetco Production Rates Surpass 16,000 Barrels of Oil

The North Baharia Petroleum Company (Norpetco) Chairman Khaled El-Sheshtawy, reviewed the company's key achievements during the past period. El-Sheshtawy noted that the company continues to implement its plans to increase production with a budget exceeding $100 million, with production rates surpassing 16,000 barrels of oil. The company also increased the number of crude oil storage tanks in its fields, reaching a storage capacity of 75,000 barrels.

Madbouly Reviews Final preparations to Connect the Second FSGU at Ain Sokhna

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly led an inspection tour to follow up on developments in preparing the infrastructure at Ain Sokhna port so that the second FRSU to start operations.

PMS Installs WEB Offshore Platform to Expand Natural Gas Production in Nile Delta

Petroleum Marine Services (PMS) has completed the installation of the West El Burullus (WEB) offshore platform, part of the WEB gas field development project in the Nile Delta, operated by West El Burullus Petroleum Company (PetroWEB). The installation involved placing a 345-ton jacket, followed by a 431-ton deck, using cutting-edge lifting equipment aboard the PMS 12 marine unit. According to the ministry’s statement, the next phase will involve installing a 14-inch, 32-kilometer subsea pipeline tied back to the West Delta Deep Marine gas reception plant on the Mediterranean coast close to Alexandria.

Madbouly Chairs Meeting to Follow Up on Petroleum Sector’s IPO Program

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly chaired a meeting on 16 June to review progress on implementing the government’s initial public offering (IPO) program for companies in the petroleum and public business sectors.
The meeting was attended by Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources; Mohamed Shimi, Minister of the Public Business Sector; Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade; and a number of officials from relevant bodies.
