WEPCO Increases Onshore Gas Production from Egypt’s Western Desert

The Western Desert Operating Petroleum Company (WEPCO), an Egyptian state‐established energy firm, has raised its daily natural gas output to 8,300 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) following the integration of the 5st-10 development well at the Badr-1 field onshore the Western Desert.

Energos Force Arrives in Aqaba to Secure Gas Supply for Jordan and Egypt

Jordan received on Friday the Energos Force floating, storage, and regasification unit (FSRU) at Aqaba port. The unit is set to commence operations next Tuesday, facilitating the gasification of liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments, according to Jordan news agency.
Egypt and Jordan signed a cooperation agreement in 2024 that entails leveraging Egypt’s floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs) to supply Jordan with natural gas and secure its local market demands. Herein, Jordan plans to secure up to 350 million cubic feet of gas daily from the Energos Force unit till the end of 2026.

Badawi in Talks with Survey Firms to Build Egypt’s National Mining Database

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi met with representatives from the Arabian Geophysical and Surveying Company (ARGAS), Metatek, Excalibur, and Novia. Specialized in aerial surveying and seismic imaging, the companies discussed with the minister collaborating on a national project to create a comprehensive geological database for all of Egypt. Egypt signs New Gas Exploration deals with Eni and bp
