Egypt, IEA Join Forces to Accelerate Implementation of Low Carbon Emissions Projects

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has signed a program with the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) Fatih Birol to work together in supporting the transition to a low carbon economy in Egypt and diversify the energy mix through production from renewable resources.

Parliament Approves Three Draft Laws for E&P

The approved laws include one submitted by the government to allow El Molla to contract with the Egyptian Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and ExxonMobil Egypt Upstream Limited to explore for crude oil and use it in the Cairo Offshore block in the Mediterranean.
