Badawi Meets with Shell and Petronas Leaders to Discuss WDDM Gas Projects

The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi met with Dalia ElGabry, the Vice President and Country Chair of Shell Egypt and Hany Esmat, the CEO of Petronas Egypt to discuss the activities of the two companies in Egypt and the plans to develop the tenth phase of gas production from the West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) Project in the Mediterranean, and follow up on the procedures for the eleventh phase development project in the same region.

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, directed to quickly meet the needs and requirements of citizens in the field of natural gas delivery by expediting the examination of requests submitted by parliament representatives. The requirements should be met by the competent authorities within the petroleum sector, and working to overcome any challenges to quickly complete the work of delivering natural gas to households in the villages and targeted areas.
