Xodus Group appointed Salah Farid Tantawy as its first general manager in Egypt. The decision comes as Xodus plans to boost its track record in the North African country and aims for new contracts, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
Tantawy has 37 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, starting by the role of a project engineer and moving to a project general manager for the Amal-C platform installation, located in the Gulf of Suez, at PICO International Group, from which he moved to Xodus, Scandinavian Oil-Gas Magazine informed.
“Xodus has gained a strong reputation within the country over the last few years, so I know I am joining a very experienced team with capabilities throughout the lifecycle of an asset,” Tantawy said. “I hope my experience in managing multi-million-dollar projects, and my knowledge of the Egyptian oil and gas sector will help attract new business as well as reinforcing already established partnerships,” he added.
Xodus Group delivers engineering and advisory services to clients in the oil and gas, LNG, renewables, and utilities industries worldwide. The company has earned more than $2.79 million in contracts in Egypt since 2013.
