United States’ firms added oil and gas rigs for the fifth week, out of six weeks, Reuters reported.
Three rigs were added; increasing the number of rigs to 491 during the week ending on August 6th, compared to 244 rigs around this time of 2020.
The rigs’ numbers hugely rose since it fell to 244 in the week ending August 14th, 2020.
This comes despite the slowing rig count growth over months as drillers focus on capital.
Two of the added rigs were for oil, none for gas, and one rig was added for miscellaneous purpose.
