A US business delegation arrived in Cairo to meet with representatives from the Egyptian government, aiming to discuss investment opportunities in a business lunch hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce. Headed by the Senior Adviser to the Secretary of State, David Thorne, the delegation of 54 companies is to meet with the Egyptian Prime Minister, Sherif Ismail, the Minister of Investments, Dalia Khorshed, the Minister of Finance, Amr El Garhy, the Minister of International Cooperation, Sahar Nasr, along with the Minister of Industry, Tarek Qabil on the 24th of October, reported Al Borsa.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla, and the Minister of Electricity, Mohamed Shaker, will meet with the delegation in a conference on the 25th of October.
Governmental sources stated that Egypt will offer investment opportunities in the fields of energy, infra-structure, information technology, agriculture, and health. Egypt is expected to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) with the companies interested to invest in Egypt.
Minister, Khourshed, will explain first draft of the new Egyptian Investment Law to the American delegation.
