The United Kingdom Ambassador to Libya, Nicholas Hopton, praised Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) for its success in achieving production rates before closure in a record time in spite of the challenges it faced over the past years. This came during the meeting with Mustafa Sanalla, the NOC’s Chairman of the Board of directors.

During the meeting, Hopton highlighted the interest of British companies to resume operations in Libya and the expansion of the two countries’ oil partnership. For his part, the NOC chairman expressed his happiness with this visit emphasizing that NOC will commit to the national and moral principles in preserving the oil wealth in the country.

The Chairman concluded the meeting by saying: “I thank Ambassador Hopton and the United Kingdom for their stand in support of the NOC over the past years, and we appreciate all the steps provided to the NOC and its companies in facilitating visa procedures for oil workers, which will facilitate and pave the way for the NOC to implement its future plans to train and develop oil sector workers.”
