The Cabinet approved President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi’s draft on the East Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF) Charter.

The forum was established upon respecting the rights of its members regarding their natural gas resources as well as cooperating between members to manage a sustainable, efficient, and environmentally conscious development process. The EMGF also supports the efforts of the producing countries and the countries rich with natural gas reserves in the region in order to accelerate the investment of current and future reserves.

It should be noted that the Charter was signed in Cairo on September 22, making EMGF an established international organization contributing to the development of natural gas fields and maximizing the utilization of natural resources in the Mediterranean region.
