Taking pride in its innovative spirit, Spirax-Sarco made a stellar appearance at the third edition of the Egyptian Petroleum Energy Efficiency Conference 2022 (EPEEC), showcasing its latest services and contributions to the energy sector.

Spirax-Sarco has had a presence in Egypt for more than 15 years and as an operating company for more than seven years, specifically focusing on thermal energy using steam as a source. Spirax-Sarco’s Country Manager for Egypt, Libya and Sudan Amir Wahba highlighted that the company’s main role in the petroleum sector is to optimize the energy efficiency of refineries that use steam as a source of energy for their operations through steam auditing and steam trap management. These techniques have been proven to be effective in saving both money and energy resources.

“We work with all of the sectors that use steam, such as food industries, pharmaceuticals, hospitals, hotels, and the petroleum sector,” Wahba said. “We have success stories with all of these sectors.”

Ryan Evans, Spirax-Sarco’s Global Strategic Account Manager for Oil, Gas and Chemicals, was also present at the event and outlined the company’s contribution to the Egyptian market. “I think Spirax-Sarco has brought a global level of service excellence. We are a FTSE 100 company. We try and give customers the same experience all over the world and we are trying to bring that experience to Egypt.”

Aiming to contribute to the important discussions taking place, Wahba and Evans were also key speakers during the event’s second day covering topics concerning innovative solutions and enhancing energy efficiency in oil and gas as well as petrochemicals. Apart from its active participation at EPEEC, Spirax-Sarco is a Principal Sponsor of the World Climate Summit 2022 (COP 27), set to take place this coming November in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
