Algeria’s Sonatrach and Cepsa awarded KBR, a global provider of differentiated professional services, a contract to provide basic engineering design (BED) and front-end engineering design (FEED) for Rhoude el Krouf Field (RKF) redevelopment project, Zawya reported citing TradeArabia.

The redevelopment project of RKF will contain adding an additional oil and gas treatment train to the existing facilities and will be executed from KBR’s London (UK) and Chennai (India) offices over an eight-month period.

“This project will demonstrate KBR’s ability to utilize its global resources to provide the full capabilities of engineering and Feed services,” Jay Ibrahim, KBR President, Energy Solutions and Services said.

RKF is located in Algeria’s desert south-East of Hassi Messaoud and includes an oil and gas Central Processing Facilities (CPF) with gathering network and all associated structures.

The project supports the objectives of Sonatrach and Cepsa to increase Algeria’s oil and gas capacity.
