SOCAR Ships 90,000 Tons of Oil to Belarus

The Deputy Head of Azerbaijan’s State Oil Company SOCAR, Ibrahim Ahmadov, said that the company has shipped a batch of 90,000 tons of Azerbaijani oil to Belarus in February, Neftegaz.RU reported quoting local media.

Ahmadov said that SOCAR Trading signed an agreement with Belarus to send about 1 million tons of oil during 2021.
According to Neftegaz.RU, SOCAR shipped about 1 million tons of oil to Belneftekhim in 2020, of which 720,000 tons is Azerbaijani oil.

It is worth noting that Azerbaijan and Belarus had signed contract for transporting 4 million tons of oil. Yet, the actual volume of delivered oil is about 900,000 tons.
