Royal Dutch Shell plans to drill 63 wells in the Western Desert during 2018, the CEO of Shell, Andrew Brown, said during a meeting with the Egyptian Prime Minister, Sherif Ismail, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The company plans to continue its work under Phase 9B for the development of the West Delta Concession. Shell’s investments in the concession have reached approximately 1.6 billion, Brown noted.
The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, and the Vice President and Managing Director of Shell in Egypt, Gasser Hanter, also attended the meeting.
