Shell is one of the main sponsors of the long-awaited Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS 2017), which opens its doors on 14th of February, for three days at the Cairo International Exhibition & Conference Center (CIEC), a company’s press release to Egypt Oil&Gas stated.
Shell Egypt’s Vice President and Country Chairman, Eng. Gasser Hanter, said : “It is great to see Egypt taking positive and progressive steps in positioning itself on the global energy map again. Hosting an event like the EGYPS, which brings all key international energy players under one roof, is strong proof of that”.
He added that “This would eventually encourage Foreign Direct Investments and promote economic growth, and Shell is pleased to be witnessing such progress.”
Hanter will join Tarek El Molla, Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, at a panel discussion with other policymakers and members of international institutions to discuss means of progress and opportunities to foster the Egypt 2021 vision through the oil and gas modernization program.
At the exhibition, Shell will be displaying an energy-efficient car Anubis, designed and built by Egyptian students, who are competing on 16th of March in Singapore among 120 university teams at the global Shell Eco-Marathon Asia competition.
