The Shalateen Mineral Resources Company (SMRC) announced international bid round no. (1) for the year 2023, for exploration and exploitation of gold and associated minerals for a set of brownfields and old mines.

The fields subject to the bid round are located in the Eastern Desert where the center of the Arabian Nubian Shield is located.

SMRC invited international mining companies to participate in the bid round for exploration under the production sharing agreement (PSA) model in the areas of Fatiri, Umm Ud, Atud, Barramiya, and Hamata.

The bid round terms and conditions and data packages will be available starting April 10^th, 2023, from the head office of SMCR, and via its website.

The closing date for submitting offers is set to be August 19^th, 2023 at 12 PM.
