Egypt will begin exporting natural gas after it has achieved self-sufficiency, Minister of Petroleum Tarek El Molla has said, according to Amwal Al Ghad.
In a conversation with Emma Smith, the British trade commissioner for Africa, El Molla reviewed the sector’s promising results in which the IOCs are playing a strategic role. In addition, El Molla praised the importance of collaboration between Egypt and the European Union.
Egypt is also looking to support African countries, especially in oil and gas discoveries and in the implementation of new oil projects, the minister said.
