SDX Energy has started drilling its second appraisal well at Egypt’s South Disouq concession, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

The SD-3X well is part of SDX’s drilling project at the South Disouq concession, in which the company owns a 55% stake.

The well is expected to take around 30 days to drill. If the drilling is successful, flow tests will be conducted in order to connect the new wells to the infrastructure being developed at the SD-1X discovery location.

Regarding the previously-discovered at SD-4X well the company said: “Well testing at the SD-4X discovery is expected to commence in the next 10 days.

“Following the test, it is anticipated that the well will be connected to the infrastructure located adjacent to the original SD-1X discovery.”
