The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE)’s President, Yehia Zaki, participated in the African Energy Conference 2022 in Brussels, which is currently being held from June 21 to 23.
On the sidelines of the conference, Zaki met with officials from a Belgian company working in the field of manufacturing electrolyzers, which are used in the production of green hydrogen produced by renewable energy from solar and wind energy.
Zaki also met with representatives of one of the agencies affiliated with the World Bank that is specialized in providing guarantees and support for major projects and has shown great interest in supporting green hydrogen production projects.
Meanwhile, Zaki met with the Belgian Minister of Energy, Tinne Van der Straeten, where he made a presentation on the economic zone of the Suez Canal, referring to the region’s potential for integrated industrial zones.
