Schlumberger, one of the world’s largest oilfield service companies, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatari maritime and logistics company, Milaha, according to a press release.
The MoU will support value building projects while jointly driving Tawteen initiatives for Qatar. Headed by Qatar Petroleum, the program aims to localize the energy sector’s supply chain and create new investment opportunities to retain economic value in Qatar.
The five-year joint development project will also include the Qatar-operated Oil Well Stimulation Vessel. Pre-engineering has already begun and will evolve during Q4 2020.
As one of the most senior oilfield service companies, Schlumberger brings with it in excess of 70 years worth of expertise including seismic acquisition and processing, well testing and directional drilling, artificial lifts, well completions, and groundwater extraction.
