Sapura Energy Berhad, a leading global integrated oil and gas services and solutions provider, has been awarded a major service contract by Total E&P Golfe pertaining to Al-Khalij Field in Qatar, with a total value of $148.8 million, according to a press release.

The contract is for the provision of engineering, procurement, supply, construction, and installation services to two sixteen-inch pipelines connecting three platforms in Al-Khalij Field, Block 6. The works are expected to be completed by Q2 2022.

Al-Khalij field is located offshore Qatar approximately 110 kilometers off the mainland coast, with average water depths of about 59 meters.

This is yet another contract award for Sapura Energy, who announced earlier this year that it was awarded an engineering, procurement, construction, installation (EPCI) of a 20-inch 29-kilometer subsea pipeline in the same project, by Carigali-PTTEPI Operating Company Sdn Bhd (CPOC).
