Rashid Petroleum Company (Rashpetco) has launched a project to improve the educational environment in Beheira Governorate.
The project comes within the framework of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ (MoPMR) corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, which aims to support and increase the sector’s contribution to community development, especially in the most favored areas, and under the patronage of Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
The new project includes manufacturing and delivering 500 wooden chairs out of 2,000 seats to public school students in the cities of Idku and Rashid, in addition to students of the Al-Azhar Institute in Idku, with a capacity of three students per seat, with the aim of improving the educational environment.
This contribution comes within a series of efforts made by the MoPMR to promote sustainable development and improve the quality of life in local communities in various governorates of Egypt.
It is worth noting that the petroleum sector has implemented many social responsibility projects in the Beheira Governorate over the past years, within the framework of the sector’s great interest in developing the cities and centers of the Beheira Governorate that are most in need.
