Qena’s Al Marashdah Village Connected to National Gas Grid

The Modern Gas Company has begun pumping gas to the first housing unit in Al Marashdah village located in Qena Governorate’s Al-Waqf City, the Ministry of Petroleum announced.

This came as a part of the first phase of the presidential initiative Haya Karima (‘Decent Life’) and the national project for the development of Egyptian rural villages.

Gas was already connected to 765 housing units in Al Marashdah, with plans to connect 1,375 additional housing units in the village. It is also worth noting that 100% of the ground gas networks were implemented for 6 villages.

A steel line with a length of 1 km and an operating pressure of 70 bar was implemented. In addition, a pressure reduction, measurement and odor addition station was installed and made operational with a capacity of 5000 cubic meters/hour. Moreover, the initiative included the implementation of an inter-pressure network with a length of 5500 meters.

Modern Gas Company called on Al Marashdah village residents to quickly take advantage of this gas delivery service to ensure that all of them will benefit.
