Qatargas has delivered the first cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) on a Q-Flex vessel to the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) located offshore Bangladesh, Zawya reported.
The Q-Flex vessel, named Excellence, is known as the Moheshkali LNG Terminal (MLNG).
The cargo was loaded on Qatargas’ Al Thumama Q-Flex at Ras Laffan on September 4 and delivered to MLNG on September 20, according to a company statement.
It marked the first commercial open water ship-to-ship transfer involving a Q-Flex vessel.
Al Thumama has an overall cargo carrying capacity of 216,000 cubic meters.
