Qatar oil minister: market “well supplied”

Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Industry of Qatar said that the markets have enough oil supply.

Al Attyiah saw that it was early to make any assumption on OPEC’s March meeting, “The market is well-supplied, and it’s too early to talk about March now”, he told Reuters on the sidelines of a conference in the United Arab Emirates capital.

He added that the recent rise in oil prices would not get in the way of economic recovery.

These statements were close to what Saudi Arabia deputy oil minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said earlier this week, that oil prices are reasonable and it was too early to predict the outcome of OPEC’s next meeting. That came at an energy conference in the kingdom’s capital Riyadh.
