President Abdel Fattah El sisi inaugurated the sixth session of the Egypt International Petroleum Conference and Exhibition (EGYPS 2023), held at the Cairo International Conference Centre (CICC) under the theme ‘North Africa and The Mediterranean: Supporting Sustainable Global Energy Supply and Demand’.
The event takes place in presence of a large number of world energy ministers, heads of major international energy companies, senior EU officials, secretaries of major international energy organizations, and energy business leaders.
During his opening speech, Engineer Tariq El-Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, thanked President Sisi, whose generous patronage has contributed to the success of the “EGYPS” conference, in addition to his continuous support to the petroleum sector.
El-Molla continued, saying that the launch of the EGYPS sixth session comes at a very important time, when the international community is facing a series of successive challenges, which also affect Egypt.
The event began with a short documentary film on the unprecedented fluctuations the world has witnessed in 2022. The film highlighted how Egypt managed to realize swift development over the past years to become a regional energy hub under the leadership of Sisi.
