POGC Starts to Lay First Pipeline in Jaask Oil Terminal

Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) announced that it has started to settle the first offshore pipeline in the Jaask oil terminal project due to the appropriate weather conditions, according to a press release.

According to the statement, the pipeline is 2.5 kilometers (km) long and will connect the terminal to the first Single Point Mooring (SPM). The first phase of the offshore part consists of “two 36-inches pipeline with the length of 13 km long with one SPM and other side equipment,” the statement mentioned.

The first phase of Jaask oil terminal is implemented by 70% and will operate by the end of Iranian calendar year, Director of Jaask oil terminal development, Vahid Maleki, said.

Jaask terminal is the last link in the chain of national and strategic plans to transfer oil from Goreh to Jaask port in southern province of Hormozgan which include three sets of 48-inch pipelines metering systems, six 36-inch marine pipelines, and 3 SPMs.
