Petroleum Sector Launches ToT Program to Build Capacities

The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has launched the new ToT program for training the trainers of the sector.

Implemented in collaboration with the specialized French company IFPT (affiliated with the French Petroleum Institute), the program brings together a group of distinguished sector employees to qualify them as certified IFPT trainers. These trainers will conduct specialized training programs in refinery operations and maintenance. Additionally, a number of process engineers will be trained on the latest refining technologies.

This program is considered an important step in building the operational capabilities of engineers and technicians who are fresh graduates in Upper Egypt, especially those who will operate the Diesel Complex of Assiut National Oil Processing Company (ANOPC).

The capacity building program in Upper Egypt was implemented by a group of specialized companies including Enppi for providing trainings programs in skills of English language, computer and the basics of health, safety and environment (HSE) as well as personal skills. Also, DNV provides training sessions related to HSE, maintenance methods and plans, reliability, quality, asset management, and process safety.

The launch was attended by Alaa Hagar, the Under Secretary for the Technical Office at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources; Mohamed Badr, the Chairman of ANOPC; and Hossam Assad, the Chairman of Egyptian Projects Operation and Maintenance (EPROM).
