Petroleum Ministry Obliges Facial Masks in Workplaces

The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources issued strict instructions for the sector’s companies to oblige their employees as well as visitors to wear facial masks during their presence in workplaces to combat coronavirus pandemic, according to a press release .

The ministry issued these instructions for all workers  in gas stations, customer services for natural gas  delivering, in addition to the workers in the ministry offices as well as in the offshore and onshore production sites.

The ministry added that  sanitizing units will be installed at the main gates for most of petroleum companies and production sites as one of the precautionary procedures taken by the ministry against the pandemic.

Hamdy Abdel Aziz, the Ministry’s spokesman, said that the ministry has the commitment to implement these instruction in all administrative headquarters and production site either offshore or onshore adding that awareness videos are now presented in the ministry offices and  companies to spread awareness about  how to be protected from the virus.
