The Petroleum Arrows Company recorded a 27% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit during fiscal year (FY) 2025, driven by the transport of 4.7 billion liters of liquid petroleum products and 957,000 tons of butane gas. Mahmoud El-Kaffas, the company’s Chairman, reported these results during the General Assembly convened via videoconference to approve the year’s financial performance.
El-Kaffas noted that the company maintained a dominant market position, accounting for 17.5% of liquid petroleum products transport and 65% of butane gas transport nationwide. This was achieved through a fleet of 362 transport units that covered a total operating distance of 56 million kilometers across Egypt.
Regarding Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, the company recorded approximately 3.81 million safe man-hours without injuries. Petroleum Arrows is currently pursuing multiple ISO certifications, including ISO 14001 for environment, ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety, and ISO 39001 for road safety.
To bolster operational efficiency, the company has equipped its entire fleet with GPS tracking systems and is currently implementing biofuel projects in Assiut. Furthermore, Petroleum Arrows provided approximately 1,000 training opportunities for its staff, utilizing advanced simulators to train drivers on defensive driving techniques.
The meeting was attended by Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, who emphasized that rationalizing expenditures and enhancing performance remain top priorities for the sector. Badawi directed the company to take practical steps toward converting its vehicle fleet to run on natural gas and praised the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) for its role in governing the petroleum products distribution system.
Petroleum Arrows is a leading subsidiary of EGPC, specializing in the land transport of various petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) across Egypt.
