Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi has met with the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib to discuss various investment opportunities in the petroleum sector and boost cooperation between the two ministries to attract more investments to the sector.

During the meeting, the two ministers agreed that the petroleum sector represents an attractive destination for investments considering the large and diverse investment opportunities provided by maximizing added value of oil and gas resources projects.

They also emphasized the importance of the concerted efforts made by the teams in the new government ministries, coordinated by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, to create a positive investment climate to attract more foreign and domestic investments.
