Petrojet was assigned to assist Baker Hughes in manufacturing and supplying seven deep-water equipment of 700 tons for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Mozambique, according to press release.

The equipment will be manufactured and tested by marine manufacturing yard while it will be transported by the customer to be installed in the deep-water of the Indian Ocean in front of Cabo Delgado coast in Mozambique.

This project is the first for Petrojet in East Africa, where the company aims to achieve its strategy of operating in these promising regions especially in Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya.

It is worth noting that Petrojet established its office in Maputo, capital of Mozambique, several years ago to follow up LNG projects.

This project supports the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to boost its international operations especially in the African countries to benefit the most from its capacity as well as reinforce the foreign exchange earnings.
