Petrofac has revealed that it won a new multi-million dollar landmark deal with Tatweer Petroleum to provide support for their ambitious natural gas distribution network project in Bahrain, a press release issued by Petrofac remarked.

In terms of its scope of work, the new Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) contract by Tatweer Petroleum will include high pressure gas pipelines and fiber optic cabling. The statement elaborated that the underground pipelines will run through sections onshore and offshore under the seabed. These pipelines will provide support to the Kingdom’s gas supply and accommodate full interchangeability.

Commenting on this contract, Nick Shorten, Petrofac’s CEO  said: “Through our engineering and project execution capability, Petrofac has been supporting Tatweer Petroleum to deliver a number of key upstream gas projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain. We again look forward to applying our skills and expertise to safely deliver this critical infrastructure, which underpins the supply of energy to Bahrain.”
