National Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced that production as of March 17 has plateaued at 91,221 barrels per day (bbl/d).
Despite the considerably low levels of production, NOC is managing to provide oil to all Libyans. This includes the Eastern region, where NOC has been sending tens of thousands of fuel every week. Thus, NOC discharged a gasoline tanker from the port of Benghazi on March 18 to the Eastern region along with a diesel cargo which will be dispatched on March 19.
NOC insists that it is committed to transparency and says that it will continue to publish data on fuel stocks in an effort to keep Libyan citizens in the loop as to the availability of oil.
