NOC, ENI Discuss Resuming Suspended Projects

The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanalla, has met with the CEO of ENI, Claudio Descalzi to discuss resuming the important projects which were suspended because of the lack of financial budgets. They also discussed ways to fulfil obligations with partners, maintain the rates of production in onshore and offshore fields and work on increasing it gradually as well as supporting the energy sector in Libya, according to a press release.

During the meeting, Sanallah praised the strategic relations with Eni and expressed his hopes for this fruitful economic partnership to continue. For his part, Descalzi asserted Eni’s full commitment to its operating activities and projects in Libya in addition to supporting NOC initiatives to build its capabilities.

 

They also discussed the progress made in the project of developing the two Structures (A and E) which will increase the normal rates of gas production in Bahr Es-salam in the coming years.
