The leading lubricant producer and gas stations operator, Misr Petroleum, recorded total sales of 8.6 million tons of petroleum products and lubricants in fiscal year (FY) 2024/2025, said the company’s Chairman, Mohamed Maged Bakheet, during the general assembly meeting chaired by Karim Badawi, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
In the same year, the company invested EGP 477 million to enhance occupational safety, health, environmental protection, and fire alarm and extinguishing systems.
Minister Badawi stressed the importance of effective marketing to boost the sales of Misr Petroleum’s high-quality lubricants, which are certified by international companies, as well as its chemical and detergent products that are the result of the cooperation between Misr Petroleum, Cooperation Petroleum Company (CPC), and Nile Petroleum Company. The minister stressed that Proper marketing would strengthen those companies’ presence in the local market and open new horizons for exports.
The company also upgraded its fueling and service station network. It developed 60 stations and inaugurated seven new ones, bringing the total to 1,562 stations nationwide. Moreover, the company started the construction of two integrated stations in the New Administrative Capital.
Misr Petroleum’s chairman further noted that the company upgraded its lubricants complex in Alexandria to boost exports to Africa and Arab countries. It is also expanding its jet fueling business, meeting the rising demand at the Cairo International Airport and other airports that receive tourist inflows during the holiday seasons.
