During a recent press conference, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly emphasized the government’s strong focus on the oil, gas, and energy sector, noting that he regularly convenes meetings to address key issues within this critical area.
Madbouly highlighted that the primary objective is to secure the nation’s petroleum needs, particularly in support of the electricity sector.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the significant burden on various state institutions as they work to ensure the sustainability, stability, and consistency of managing the necessary petroleum shipments, especially in the face of ongoing challenges.
“The state is committed to fulfilling its promises in this regard,” the Prime Minister affirmed.
Madbouly explained the importance of working to achieve a clear vision in the short-term that ensures restoring the country’s production level to previous conditions and rates in cooperation and coordination with foreign partners.
In this context, the Prime Minister indicated that the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi will hold, starting the following week, many meetings with various foreign partners, to discuss plans to increase the volume of production, starting from the beginning of 2025.
